1. Get Sleeve Protectors

It won't be every time, but for the days you open a card pack and win big, you'll want to have sleeve protectors to protect your rare cards at the ready. You'll definitely want to keep it safe from spills and creasing so you can keep it in the best condition, whether for collecting or selling.

2. Consider Buying Singles

Let's be honest: collecting Pokémon cards ain't cheap! Buying bundles of packs will cost you quite a few dollars, so if you're looking to budget but still get the cards that you want, always remember you can buy singles. Sure, it might cost more than opening a pack, but the total money lost trying to gamble the card will definitely end up being more in the long run.

3. Focus On One Set At A Time

With so many cards and so many different sets to build, you might feel a bit overwhelmed looking where to start. But just because there are a lot to choose from doesn't mean you have to do them all! Focus on the sets that you enjoy the most and only work on getting those cards. Spreading your focus thin will leave you with only a few cards here and there.

5. Be Careful Buying Online

Though the community is nice, you still have to be wary of scams and fakes. When buying Pokémon cards or merchandise from unauthorized sellers or not from the official store, you're always at risk of getting something you didn't ask for. Spend wisely and carefully do your research before making any purchases.
