Tag Team a Boss Fight
We understand the appeal of sinking into the sofa and zoning out in front of our PlayStations. While there’s nothing like a good solo session, co-op games bring all-new adventures to the console, and one could argue that some games are best with a friend. With that, let’s dive into a few classics!
1. Left 4 Dead 2
Alright, look. Those Tanks aren’t going to take themselves out. Sure, it’s an anxiety-fueled game filled with horrifying zombies, and sure, you need to sneak past the Witch if you have any chance of escape—but that’s exactly why you need two people! Nothing brings you closer than screaming hordes of undead.
2. Baldur’s Gate 3
Hey, hey, hey. We have mind flayers in our heads. What do you mean you want us to do this alone? If we have any chance of beating the Netherbrain, we’ll need all hands on deck, and that includes another person. With incredible character customization and strategic combat, there’s no harm in tagging in a friend.
3. Portal 2
If you love dark humor and head-scratching puzzles, Portal 2 is the game for you. While you can easily indulge alone, this franchise gave you all sorts of new material for playing with friends. You’ll explore new puzzles, new dialogue, and hilarious adventures worth the extra company.

4. Overcooked!
Maybe you’ll chop enough tomatoes for two stars. Maybe you’ll make enough soup for three stars. Or maybe—and more realistically—you’ll throw your controller and end the friendship right there ‘cause God forbid they just listen to instructions. You never know what this game will bring, but at least we can guarantee the fun.

5. Minecraft
Don’t get it twisted: Minecraft is much more than a simple “kids’” game. It’s a complicated platformer that requires a helping hand against bum-rushing bad guys. You can also build worlds together and join communities perfect for your niche.
